I like running Kismet because it is quite possible the best 802.11* sniffer available. Kismet shows alot of information on not only the AP's that it finds but also on nodes that are connected to it. I like to run MacStumbler because it doesn't destroy my airport drivers. I am able to run MacStumbler and use my airport for connectivity at the same time. I like to run KisMAC because it has a really nice GUI front-end and has made some great improvements in its functionality in the past few months. KisMAC is not as mature as Kismet, but it certainly an excellent tool. As a related note, I recently (this weekend), compiled kismet on my TiBook laptop running Mac OS 10.3.
