i recall that the ptp folks really liked these things. the problem i ran into was finding a reliable source for them. they seemed to disappear off ebay rather quickly. have you seen any reliable sources? the other thing that always concerned me was the propensity of LCD displays to go down the toilet in cold weather and suck on the juice. this thing seems to have enough guts to run a lightly loaded IGP as well. the other thing i was wondering about was the ease with which one of these things can be hacked for PoE.
